GlassShop Software and the NAGS Rebalance
Revised March 16, 2005
|
Due to some acceptance and some delay with implementation of the
NAGS rebalance prices for February 28th, Data Tranz has made some
very late changes to the software in order to display both the September
6th and the February 28th pricing. These changes are only applicable
to version 7.9 of GlassShop.

NET PRICING
|
|
|
Net prices are list prices published by manufacturers which do
not fall under the regular NAGS pricing formula. We made efforts
to include these prices in the last year with our system. At the
moment, Pilkington and PPG provide Net Pricing information on their
websites. We have provided this information in the GlassShop System
as these prices become available.
One of the main objectives to the NAGS database rebalance was to
eliminate the need for Net Pricing. It appears this objective will
be somewhat successful, as it appears that at least one manufacturer
will be publishing their own set of list prices. For the long term,
Data Tranz is prepared to make the necessary changes to the system
in order to accomodate multiple list prices.

Labor Pricing
|
|
|
The GlassShop System version 7.9 can calculate labor 4 ways:
|
|
- flat labor per piece and type of glass,
- hourly labor per NAG labor hours,
- flat labor or base plus an hourly rate per NAGS hours, and
- flat labor or base for first hour, then hourly per NAGS.
|
|
|
We've provided a "work" window, where you can test how
the two latter methods will apply labor. If you need any help getting
these going, just give us a ring, or use the online chat on the
main support window.
