Hot Conflicts / Issues
We take every precaution to ensure that your experience with Data
Tranz systems is a smooth one. Occasionally, we discover issues
that leads to some hardware incompatibility. The following is a
list of currently known issues and probable fixes. Search the Knowledgebase
for additional information if your topic is not here.

QuickBooks 2007 -- December 2006
Stop! If you are using QuickBooks 2007 to run your backoffice,
and you are doing or plan on doing exports from GlassShop to QuickBooks
2007, please do not! Intuit (the makers of QuickBooks) have acknowledged
an issue that allows items to be duplicated in your item list. Therefore,
if you will get a new item for EVERY item that you import. This
is a huge hassle, and there is not much we can do until Intuit fixes
this issue. We are working with Intuit for a work-around, but we
do not have confidence yet to post these findings. If you have questions,

Okidata Printers
When using the Data Tranz pre-printed form, you may encounter difficulties
printing the 8.5" X 8.5" form. There are a couple of things
you should check:
- If on a network, and only one computer can print correctly,
AND, you have set up the printer correctly in GlassShop, you may
not have the correct driver installed for the printer, for that
operating system. We have encountered some difficulty with Okidata
and XP, and we have fixed it by using an Epson LQ1050 driver for
the Okidata.
- When setting up the printer for use in GlassShop, define your
paper size when saving the "Printer Setup" in the setting
up a GS printer window. The system takes this setting, not one
you may alter in the printer setup in the control panel.
- You can also alter the settings on your Okidata printer directly
on the printer. It takes a bit to get used to, and it is often
the only way to get your printer to operate properly for GlassShop.

Multifunction Printers
Multifunction printers, ones that scan, fax, and print install
drivers that occasionally conflict with the MSVCRT library of dll's
that your Data Tranz system requires. We have been able to uninstall
the scan function of these devices and the system operates correctly.

America Online / Compuserve
The Data Tranz EDI system is simple for those who use a MAPI compliant
mail system, such as Outlook, Outlook Express, and Eudora. AOL and
other online networks have their own mail handlers, and the functionality
of the single click "Send EDI via Email" is lost. Instead,
customers who use these online networks need to take several more
steps to get their EDI to Data Tranz. And, when the EDI arrives,
it is within the text of the message, and not an attached document.
Therefore, we recommend using a local dial-up Internet connection
from a local provider.
